  • Exercise More – Exercise plays a key role in weight loss. As important as it is to make a plan about your diet, it is equally important to make a plan for your exercise. If you haven’t been very physically active, then start slowly by doing low-impact exercises, such as walking or swimming. Gradually increase the intensity of your workouts as you improve. You should schedule at least a half-hour exercise program into your daily routine at least five times a week.

  • Have a Cheat Day – Having a cheat day from your diet is one of those little things that keep you sane. This is one day a week when you don’t have to count calories or shy away from a nice meal out. Of course cheat days should not be used as a green light to eat like mad all day long.

  • Keep a Positive Attitude – Dieting is best when you can keep a positive attitude about it. If you feel your attitude changing then it is a good idea to join a weight loss forum or community group, such as Jenny Craig, to give you the support you will need to stay on track. Always try to remind yourself of the important reasons you have decided to lose weight and celebrate all of your successes, even the small ones.
