Lipozal

Lipozal Review

Lipozal is an “advanced weight management” dietary supplement that has been developed to increase fat metabolism. It claims to burn fat quicker, boost metabolic rate and balance hormones.

The only active ingredient in the Lipozal formula when this review was written is Coleus Forskohlii (root) Extract (20% forskolin). There is 125 mg per 1 capsule serving size.

Coleus forskohlii is a plant that also goes by the name of Plectranthus barbatus. The chemical that is found within the roots of the plant is forskolin. This herb has been used since ancient times for medicinal purposes and some research claims that it may be beneficial to those who are attempting to lose weight.

Forskolin is believed to stimulate the release of stored fat from fat cells. This process is the same as whenever the body needs to use body fat for energy.

There have been a few small weight loss studies involving humans and forskolin. The largest trial was reportedly a randomized study that involved 30 overweight and obese men, who were randomly split up into the forskolin group and the placebo group. By the end of the study, it was found that the 15 men who took forskolin lost notably more fat than the 15 in the placebo group. However, their total body weight didn’t change.

That being said, it was also found that the forskolin group experienced a significant rise in free testosterone. Testosterone can also stimulate the release of fat from fat cells, which may explain some of the fat loss that was observed in the study.

Another study involving overweight women found that those who took forskolin as a supplement did not experience any significant decrease in fat loss. That being said, the results did suggest that forskolin may help to protect against weight gain.

However, other studies have found forskolin to offer no significant benefits for weight loss at all. Therefore, the bottom line is that there isn’t enough evidence to prove that this substance is beneficial as a weight loss aid.

That being said, even if forskolin does help to stimulate the release of stored fat from fat cells, the release of stored fat is not sufficient enough to promote weight loss. This would need to be accompanied by decreasing the number of calories in your diet. This is achieved by ingesting fewer calories. Weight loss supplements that can potentially help you in your efforts to decrease your caloric intake include those that help to suppress appetite, boost metabolism, and decrease the efficiency of digestion. Forskolin has not been found to produce any of these benefits.

If you are interested in taking Lipozal, you should first speak with your healthcare provider. This is especially important if you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition or are currently taking medications or supplements to treat a health issue.
